Presentation

Hello! We are three students form Sant Nicolau school, in Sabadell. Sabadell is a town near Barcelona.
We are called Marta Garrido, Marta Ravès and Clara Panadès. We are all 15 years old.
In our free time we like to chat with our friends, hang out hit them or go shopping.

0. When was William Shakespeare born ? Where ?
William Shakespeare was born on 1564 in Stratford.

1. Write the names of William Shakespeare’s parents . Who were they ?
John Shakespeare was his father, he was a tenant farmer who worked on various sections of land.
Mary Arden was his mother, she was a member of a noble catholic family of Park Hall whose family forebears had been given land by William the Conqueror.

2. Write the name of his wife . When did they get married ?
Anne Hathaway. They got married on the November 28th, 1582.

3. Write the names of his three children. What happened to them ?
Susanna, Hamnet and Judith.
Hamnet Shakespeare died of unknown causes in August 1596, at the age of eleven.

4. What was the name of his hometown ?
Stratford-upon.-Avon, Warwickshire

5. Write the names of the buildings in his hometown related to him .

6. Where did he study ?
There are no specific records relating to the education of William Shakespear.
William Shakespeare would have attended King Edward VI Grammar School in Stratford-upon-Avon from the age of 7 in 1571 and left school and formal education when he was fourteen in 1578.

7. Did he go to university ?
William probably went to the local free Stratford-on-Avon grammar school which would have taught him Divinity, Mathematics, Latin, French, History, a little Science etc. to the age of maybe 15. There is no evidence that he went to University (the next step if you could afford it).

8. Why did he leave his family and hometown to go to London ?
Shakespeare might have offended Sir Richard Lucy by poaching a deer on his grounds and had to leave Stratford to avoid prosecution.

9. When and where did he die ?

May 3th, 1616.
